Salon 63 is a collaboration between Artists and Salons along the number 63 bus route. It sets out to explore what a salon means to its community by bringing people together with art. I for some reason decided to build a site that randomly selects from CSS style sheets and ended up creating six times the ammount of work.

About the project

Inspired by the sheer ambition of this project alone. I wanted to utilise code to fully embrace the variety, creativity and incredible work of the artists and salons. Using this as a bit of an opportunity to improve my knowledge of code, I jumped in a little unprepared.

Together we decided to create a website that would change every-time you visited. Each new session would show a new style, referencing aspects of the artist's work and the salons. Ultimately this meant building six responsive websites in one, so you can't say I don't try. The outcome was great, the site got loads of traffic from features in local papers and people looking for event info. Check out Sasha's latest project here.
